Madelyn's 1st bday party

Sean Patrick had a great time at Maddy's 1st bday party! Maddy went to take a nap before we could get a snap of the kids together but here are a few pics from the party:

Sean Patrick LOVED the water table, he spent most of the party here.

Taking a dip, it was a really hot day.

This is Cameron with SP. She followed him around and gave him is first kiss!

We were having a fun time but had to leave early to pack our bags and head out...the Station Fire was this close to our house so we decied to get out of town for the night, the smoke in the air was terrible.

Pool Party, Part I

Sean Patrick attended his first pool party today and he had a blast! It was a going-away-bbq for the Hain Family (Sam, Tia and Max) as they are moving to Northern California hosted by host & hostess w/the mostess: Sherry & Matt. Sherry & Matt have an amazing fresh water pool in their backyard in Burbank that SP was lucky enough to try as his first dip.

SP & I had ventured to Target the day before to try to find some sort of pool float for him. We succeeded with a cool float that came with a sun canopy...ooohhh, fancy pants!

We headed over to the party with our potluck brownies and pool float in hand. SP was already in his swim gear with sunscreen applied, ready to go. Daddy and SP were the first ones in the pool not long after we arrived. Dan started SP slowly, just sitting and hanging out first:

Then Uncle Shawn helped get SP into his floating contraption:

Annnnd, he's in! Time to goof off with Daddy while Daddy's frosty beverage also floats around the pool for easy access. Note: we had to use the water-friendly Winnie-the-Pooh to support SPs back...the opening to the float was a little big but with Pooh there, it was perfect.

He likes it! He likes it!

Oh, but he was playing it cool when cutie Maddy got in the pool:

She liked his ride so SP let her take it for a spin:

After swimming, SP had a bottle but was not tired so he played a bit. Oh no, not a drum stick!

Meeting Maddy & Max

While Dan was at work, SP & I went to a BBQ at the French's today. It was way fun especially watching the kids play with each other...okay, so maybe not play yet but discover each other. Maddy is a doll and Max is a cutey bruiser just like SP :)

There was some awkward silence at first but then SP made his move...

Ha - got her out of the jumper and now it's mine all mine :)
