Sean Patrick Eats Pears

This morning got off to a fine start around 6:15am. I heard Sean Patrick talking to himself through our baby monitor so I knew he was up. What we've been doing the last few weeks is turning on his mobile and fading the lights up a bit in his room so he can wake up and play a little before he eats...it also gives me time to put on coffee and feed the animals :)

While I was putting on coffee and feeding the animals this morning, Dan caught Sean Patrick actually reaching up and touching his mobile. We actually have a video monitor that we move around the house so we can keep an eye on him at all times and we've never seen him do this before. It's cute because his reflexes are not fast enough to actually get a hold of the mobile animals before they move away (once that happens, we'll have to lower the mattress):



Dan kept SP busy a little while longer by bringing him out to the Jumperoo while I prepared his breakfast - the first day of pears! Here are the pears and the gear to make them into baby food:

I had bought organic pears from Whole Foods a few days ago and they were so ripe that I didn't need to steam them. I peeled them and cut off any bruised parts. Then I chopped them into little cubes and put them in the cup for the hand mixer:

Just a few seconds with the hand mixer and we had baby food. Super easy. I froze quite a bit with this batch.
